Well we went to bed last night without our usual confidence
in our anchor, since it was very weedy where we dropped (and everywhere else we
could find). And in the middle of the
night we were woken up by a loud crash! We were out of bed and into the cockpit in
seconds flat to find out where we had dragged to … But we were still in the same place. Further investigation revealed that the hook
holding our recycling bag, full of bottles, cans and the like, had failed and
the recycling was now on the floor. Of
all nights for that to happen! Oh
well. We went back to bed, woke early
and set off for a mooring at Rouses Point, 44° 59.35N 73° 21.75W, where we would meet Dee and Marc
this evening and Laura and Rick tomorrow.
We had a long way to go – about 30 miles – so set off early and had a
great sail with winds up to 20knots behind us.
We arrived at 1pm, filled up with gas and water, did laundry, shopping
and met Dee and Marc at 5:45.
