The mast raise went well, perhaps because the able staff at
Gaines Marina did most of the work.
(They’ve done it a few times before).
We returned to our mooring and fitted the boom, rigged the various
halyard, lines, sails and sheets. The
final job was to reconnect the wiring, but it started raining, so that job was
shelved until Friday. It rained on and
off through the night but we had a brief dry spell Friday morning, so were able
to reconnect the wiring. Then it started
raining again so we decided to stay on the mooring one more night.
